 | You scored as Idealist. Idealism centers around the belief that we are moving towards something greater. An odd mix of evolutionist and spiritualist, you see the divine within ourselves, waiting to emerge over time. Many religious traditions express how the divine spirit lost its identity, thus creating our world of turmoil, but in time it will find itself and all things will again become one.

Interesting... but for news journalism it's not about sharing your beliefs.. it's about reporting the truth. We just had a discussion about biased news media in radio class, heh... I couldn't see myself as an actress or an engineer... that's crazy.. so today was my birthday, nothing too wild, we had lunch at Olive Garden and it was absolutely delicious. It's my new favorite restaurant... and I'm happy because I have leftovers in the fridge ;)
So I've been doing lots of homework, last night I stayed up obscenely late doing math. Geometric probability is so ridiculous. Here is a sample problem: "Flip a penny 50 times. How many times do you get a head? How many times do you have to flip it in order to get a head? How many times did you have to flip it an odd number of times in order to get a head?" It's so freaking easy and ridiculous and time-consuming. But I used the calculator random integer simulation so I didn't actually have to flip the stupid penny.. in any case I'm done with it now:) and I have 2 pages done for the essay. I'm going to Sacramento tomorrow for a family thing so I won't have much time to work...so I'm going to eat something and then keep writing. Someday, a dog is going to puke on Mr. Doppe's shoes. |

| | Jem "24" | ] | happy new year, everybody! If you would rather not read about vomit, I suggest you skip the first part of this entry.
I'd have to say that this new year's eve was surprisingly eventful. usually I'm just sitting at home waiting for the ball to drop.. but that's boring. so Nick and I went over to Ruth's and watched Veggie Tales!! My very first Veggie Tales experience, with Madame Blueberry's adventures at Stuff Mart. Ruth's parents sang along with the Veggies... wow I love Veggie Tales now. I want to watch more... MORE!! Then we watched this awesome funny ventriloquist video "Ron Lucas and Buffalo Billy." And then I puked a lot. I just had a mild headache earlier, but then the nausea came along. that's usually how it happens for me. My parents were amused.. because most of the time, people puke on new year's because they've been drinking too much... but I was at Ruth's house so that *obviously* wasn't the case. it was a really horrible vomit experience. At first I swallowed my puke, then I finally got it out and somehow got some up my nose... in my sinuses or whatever... and then I snorted it into my mouth and swallowed it. So if you are reading this and think "oooh nasty".. I'm sorry but I felt like sharing. Just be happy it wasn't your vomit :)
This is going to be a good year.
Today I slept until almost 1 pm... it was wonderful. I had weird dreams but I can't remember them. Then I woke up and had breakfast... cinnamon roll, cheese pastry, vanilla pudding and deviled eggs. excellent.
I need to finish so much homework. *sigh* But it must be done. |

| | the shins "young pilgrims" | ] | maybe it would have been a nicer christmas if i enjoyed the company more. i'm not close with anyone in my family. i feel like my cousins couldn't care less about me, even though we are close in age. for some crazy reason i thought the 5 of us could all eat together - but of course they chose to sit at the smallest table (with only 4 chairs). later, i wanted to go sit with them, but i didn't think there was room. when i finally tried to join their conversation, they immediately stopped talking. instead, we played cards.
do any of you hug your parents on a regular basis? i haven't done that since i was a little kid. i was watching my cousin sitting on her mother's lap, all cuddly and cozy. and she's 3 years older than i am. i can't imagine what it's like to be able to touch your family like that. someday i'm going to have a warm, huggy, comfortable family. the kind of family that says "i love you" a lot. i'll have my little kids crawling into bed with me when they have a bad dream. i've never done that.
my mom always tells me i'm too sensitive. i think this fucking world could use a little bit more sensitivity. |

in other news..... nick saw mrs. seikali and mrs. zimmerly at mimi's cafe. i think it's cute that math teachers eat lunch together during break. he said seikali was talking about how i'm the only person with an A in statistics.. she's awesome. and i hope zimmerly knew which carrie she was talking about. there were 2 carries in her class that year and she never figured out which one i was. the last time i talked to zimmerly, she was disturbed that i didn't have a math class last year. she said "do you really think you will do well in statistics then?"
ahaha i win. |
